All About Our Spas
Why Choose a New Zealand Spa pool over an American Spa?

The biggest difference between our spa pools made in Helensville New Zealand and a spa made in America are the running cost of the spa. The American pools usually have a very large numbers of jets (not necessary) therefore requiring more pumps to operate them, and more electricity to work them, some using up to 60 amps of electricity, which makes them very expensive to run and often requiring an extra electric supply fitting to your home.
In New Zealand, we believe that everyone should be able to afford to buy and run a spa pool, so we only fit the jets where they are needed to give an excellent massage. Our range of spa pools have different numbers of jet fitted in them from 10 to 28.
to suit different needs, but they all have only one pump, some are 2-horse power single speed and some are 3-horse power twin speed depending on the number of jets in the spa.

How We Build Your Spa
All of our spas are built using the same process. The 8mm sanitary grade acrylic sheet is vacuum formed to the spa mould. the shell is then sprayed by hand with fiberglass up to 10mm thick to give the spa its strength. The fibre glass shell is then hand sprayed with foam insulation up to 50mm thick to keep the water warm, the jets and filter are then fitted in place and the plumbing work is fitted. The spa shell is then fitted into the cedar cabinet; the pump is fixed into place and the heater unit fitted. The spa pool is then water tested before it leaves the factory.
Why Invest in a Spa?
Hot water dilates the blood vessels, which increases the flow of oxygen-rich blood to muscles and joints so the aches and pains will fade away leaving you feeling relaxed.

Hydro Therapy
What Will a Spa Help With? Arthritis, Bursitis, Rheumatism, Back Pain, Herniated Disk, Muscle spasms, Soft tissue injury, Fibromyalgia and many other health problems.

Installation Requirements
All that is required for a hot tub installation is a concrete or paved hard-standing area, a designated 13 or 20amp electrical supply with an isolator and a hosepipe to fill the spa.
The Running Costs
The average running costs of our spas are between £0.30 and £0.80 per day depending on the type of spa and the amount of use.
The Jets
We use the same jets on all of our spas, they are directional or oscillating venture jets, interchangeable and turn on and off in the water.
The Depth
All of our spas are 760mm tall this is to make it as easy as possible to get in and out of them. The height also assists when maneuvering the spa into position as most doors and gates are 760 wide so its not necessary to use costly cranes to lift them over houses.
The Seats
In all of our spas, you will find the seats extremely comfortable as we have rounded them to suit the contours of your body unlike some very angular spa pools. The seat are not all the same height, as we have formed them individually.
The Diverter Valve
A diverter valve is fitted on most of our spas; it moves all of the water flow from one side of the pool to the other to give an extra powerful flow through the jets.
The Filter
We use the same filters on all of our spas it is a fifty square foot weir type with a skimmer tray very safe for children. Its job is to filter out any debris floating in the water.
The Hard cover
Is a lockable 85 mm hard foam thermal cover with a galvanized steel spine for strength, is UV treated, in New Zealand we are under the earths ozone hole it’s the most severe of any country and they last for five years here, so it will last a lot longer in Europe.
The Pump
We use Spa Quip pumps made in New Zealand of either single or two speeds. They are full flow pumps efficiency of approx 275 liters per min so if you have a 1000 liter pool the water will pass through the filter every four minutes.
The Heater and Control Panel
Spa Quip in New Zealand also makes the heaters and control panels. The heaters are 2kw and 3kw and will heat the water from cold to 38 degrees in about 6 to 8 hours. The control panel is a digital soft touch pad displaying the temperature of the water.
The Cabinet
All of our spa come fitted in a beautiful cedar cabinet with access panels for servicing. To prevent the cedar from ageing sand the cabinet and stain it once a year.
The Light
We fit a multi coloured LED light to the spas, we use LED because they use next to no power and there are no bulbs to pop. The light has four settings to choose from to suit your mood.
The Colours
All the range of spas comes in three different colours blue, black and green in two Different finishes marble or quarite.
The Water
The spa is filled from a garden hosepipe, and they all have a drain tap fitted for emptying Maintenance of the water is very simple a test strip dipped into the water will tell you what needs adding to the water to keep it clean and safe to use.
The Guarantee
5 Years on the pool and 2 years on the pump & heater/controls including labour Products.
